I say that both suck equally. The poor sound quality aside, the 65 version seems ill conceived (so his parents said) and immature. Pretty much worth forgetting.

The 1987 version is just plain boring, with little to say and too much time saying it. Endless touring to throngs of followers--latecomers known as touch-tito-heads.

Which brings us to 2007. His mind having clearly fragmented into several selves after the passing of Jerry, Tito and Smokey, much like Bob and Phil, have separeated enough to where they have taken two distinct in which each maintains that he is the real thing. Neither is truly satisfying, being more or less remnants from times long gone. Each is guilty of playing on the past and of endless noodling with nothing to say; further, each strings together random ideas as if they were songs played in sequence. It just doesn't make sense--doesn't satisfy.
They were both panned (and later banned) at Bananaroo.

Ah, William Tell, if only we had more from 1968, eh?

No, not really.

Time for my mid-morning crap--I mean nap.

Hey mr ghostofpig, we don't take kindly to newcomers wandering in off the street and bad-mouthin one of our inmates. Ill-conceived he may be, but thats not his fault. He's in our care for our particularly peculiar brand of therapy and for all we know, he's responding to treatment so just leave him alone, you, whose 'snout doesn't belong here'. At least, we know where he is, which is more than we can say for you, swanning around with your new friends, writing splendiforous stuff in real meaningful threads, which you won't deign to serve to us poor peasants. Well thats alright, be like that, come in when it's raining go on out when its gone, after all we're probably only your biggest fans. I'll let you go with a these words from the Great Robert (not you this time, Rob, sorry)

Saint Tito with a rose
In and out of the garden he goes
Country garland in the wind and the rain
Wherever he goes the people all complain

Tito prosper in his time
Well he may, and he may decline
Did it matter, does it now?
Tito would answer if he only knew how

:¬)

Profuse apologies for the above, Bill. I was just jesting, honest guv. Obviously my meagre attempt at levity has fallen flat again.
I'll get me coat.

Gosh Don. What a relief to see you. The silence was deafening. I was just saying to myself...way to go Alan...thread-stopper. I thought I'd gone and booglarised myself good this time. I'm using that word for the sole reason that I wanted an excuse to put this up for your delectation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdP_I1kJMmk Another great Don, I hope he's your cup of tea too.

Btw Don, this is how dum I am, I only just found out that Dire Wolf or Canis Dirus, actually existed about 100,000 years ago. All this time I thought it was a poetic invention of Hunter's. D'uh!

oops

Ah, JH--just a slow day. Don't take it personally. Here is some more (hope lyrics are okay with you!):

Saint Tito with a rose
In and out of the garden he goes
Country garland in the wind and the rain
Wherever he goes the people all complain

Tito prosper in his time
Well he may and he may decline
Did it matter? does it now?
Tito would answer if he only knew how

Wishing well with a golden bell
Bucket hanging clear to hell
Hell halfway twixt now and then
Tito fill it up and lower down
And lower down again

Jerrob finger dipped in moonlight
Writing `what for?' across the morning sky
Sunlight splatters dawn with answers
Darkness shrugs and bids the day goodbye

Speeding arrow, sharp and narrow,
What a lot of fleeting matters you have spurned
Several seasons with their treasons
Wrap the babe in scarlet covers call it your own

Did he doubt or did he try?
Answers aplenty in the bye and bye
Talk about your plenty, talk about your ills
One man gathers what another man spills

Saint Tito will remain
All he's lost he shall regain
Seashore washed by the suds and the foam
Been here so long he's got to calling it home

Fortune comes a crawlin, Calliope woman
Spinning that curious sense of your own
Can you answer? Yes I can,
but what would be the answer to the answer man?

High green chilly winds and windy vines in loops around the
twining shafts of lavender, they're crawling to the sun

Underfoot the ground is patched with climbing arms of ivy
wrapped around the manzanita, stark and shiny in the breeze

Wonder who will water all the children of the forum when they sigh about the barren lack of rain and droop so hungry 'neath the sky...

William Tell has stretched his bow till it won't stretch no
furthermore and/or it may require a change that hasn't come
before

Hey--no wonder I love these ones...

Sorry, was busy with my early morning crap (we must be on different time zones, or maybe my metamucil is faster acting than yours). Just saw this.

Of course we need more 68--remove your tongue from your cheek (yeeech, after the regularity images this might have been a poor choice of words).
